Ken's Tackle Fishing Report
What a Bass Opener!
Many bass fishermen came back to Ken's Tackle with a big smile on their faces this weekend!
Bass fishing was great! We had a great weekend in weather, bass bite and over all fishing. What a great way to start the summer!
Sally Jigs, buzz baits and minnows were great as the bass were extremely active. You'll find many great bass lakes in our area, so check in with us and we'll do our best in putting you on to some bass.
Check out the Ken's Tackle website to see some bass strings. One group filled out within an hour! That's some action!
Jigs and minnows, crawlers and leeches are working the best these days. Depths range between 10 and 25 feet throughout the lake.
There is a crank bait bite in the evenings in only 8 feet of water on the flats of Otter Tail Lake. Yellow perch, purpledescent and blue have been the best colors. A # 5 Rapala shallow diver is working great.
Panfish are going well with wax worms, smaller crawlers or crappie minnows. Pink or white are great colors for the tackle side of things.
Otter Tail Lake is hosting another great tournament on June 13th. Contact Gary Harrington at 218-495-2226 for details.
Remember, practice catch and release so future generations can have as much fun as you are! Hope to see you soon at Ken's Tackle. Gary Peterson
