Ken's Tackle Fishing Report

Weather is Pushing the Fish Deeper.

June 23, 2010

Fishing has become more of a science these days as the weather is warming up.  Warmer temps have pushed fisher deeper.  Bottom Bouncers with spinners and crawlers or leeches are working the best.  Walleyes are in the 15 to 25 foot range.

Sunfish bit has been good in 8 to 15 feet range.  A slow troll will produce bigger sunfish.

Bass have been good using a weighted spinner bait.  Chartreuse and white are the color of choice.  #5 Rapala are working well in the evenings on Otter Tail Lake in 8 to 10 feet of water from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
