RE: Ken's Tackle Fishing Report

Fishing in the Morning, Fishing in the Evening... Fishing During Summer Time

August 11, 2010

The day catch as slowed some.  Fishing is good in the morning and evening hours these days - the weather has made a difference.

Use crawlers, spinners and bottom bouncers as your presentation.  Depths have been ranging in the 25 to 30 foot range as we are finding water in the 20 foot and above around 73 degrees.

Crank bait bit has been pretty good from sunset to early morning in the 8 to 10 range.  Trolling speed is around 2 miles per hour.

Panfish bite has been good in the 8 to 14 foot of water on East and West Lost, Elbow Lake, South Turtle and Dead Lakes.  Great fishing for the kids!

Weather has been a big factor here, but we expect an improvement by the weekend.
