Fishing Conditions Getting Better on Otter Tail

Still calling it at 0 to 11 inches... so the lake is making ice everyday.

Four wheelers are on the lake as transportation. Accesses are open. Still thin ice areas on the lake. We have a map to educate you on where to stay away from. We can put you on fish in thicker iced areas.

Walleyes and perch bite continues to be good in 15 to 25 feet of water. Panfish are starting to go on smaller lakes.

Please come in the shop so we can help educate you where to go, it's great fishing time, but we want you to be careful.

Ken's Tackle is open 7 days a week from 6:30 to 6:00 - so we are here to show you.

Kens Tackle Fishing report

The Fish are Biting - The Fish are Biting!

Walleyes and BIG perch continue to bite well on Otter Tail Lake!

If you are looking for some nice walleyes and perch - come on over to Otter Tail Lake.

Depths range from 10 to 30 feet on shoreline breaks and the sunken island and humps.

You'll find panfish as well on some of the smaller lakes. Crappies and walleyes are going well on West Battle Lake and Rush.

All accesses are open and we are constantly knocking down ice piles. Stop in before you venture out so we can show you the weak spots and heaves of ice on the lake.

Fishing Time!
Gary Peterson

Fishing got rolling on Otter Tail Lake this weekend. Ice conditions are 0" to 8". We find some open water in the Grandpa Island over to Greenwood Resort area. Also some spots northeast of Balmoral hump. Please use caution!

Permanent houses are on the shoreline breaks at this time. Four wheelers or walking is the mode of transportation.

Fish were being caught in 18 to 30 feet of water during low light conditions.

Smaller lakes are producing lots of panfish!

Check with Ken's Tackle for daily updates and ice conditions. Please be careful out there!

Otter Tail Lake is Froze Over
Posted by: Gary Peterson

December 10th

We are checking ice everyday now. You'll find it from 0 (spot open) to 8 inches on Otter Tail Lake.

Today you'll see quite a few portable fish houses, some 4 wheelers and even a few who adventured out with regular fish houses in the area.

Please be very careful and in touch with us at the shop on what to expect. Give us a call for the latest at Ken's Tackle at 218-495-2895.
